Cristina and Marina of Saenayoga promote the ancient practice of yoga in the province of Siena, drawing inspiration from its picturesque landscapes and its rich cultural heritage. Both are experienced yoga instructors who enjoy sharing their passion and intimate knowledge of Tuscany’s natural, artistic, historical and culinary treasures, thus proposing a holistic Italian journey of the senses.
Podere Trafonti is an organic farm and guesthouse nestled in the heart of the Tuscan hills, managed by Antonella Notari Vischer.
Together with Antonella, Saenayoga is delighted to offer a spring yoga retreat in June 2019 to energize your body and mind and lighten your spirit. You will be guided through harmonious yoga practices in Trafonti’s inspiring studio and outdoors; enjoy healthy homemade food; explore Siena’s beautiful historic sites; taste olive oil, wine and goat cheese produced on an organic farm and enjoy relaxing times of leisure in serene and comfortable surroundings.
Cristina Felici has been cultivating her yoga practice since 2005, exercising Anusara, Ashtanga and MogaDao Yoga. In 2016, with the aim to share with others the benefits she had gained, she successfully attended the Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200) and earned her diploma in Classic Pranayama. She regularly teaches Vinyasa yoga in Siena. Cristina is a professional archaeologist with extensive field experience in the province of Siena.
Marina Montenegro started attending Hatha yoga classes in 1993 in Italy. In Cambridge (UK) in 2009, she began practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa. She developed a regular personal practice and deepened her knowledge. Profoundly convinced of the benefits that yoga brings to body and mind and eager to share her passion, she earned her degree as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) in 2015-16 with the Yoga Alliance. She has since also specialized in restorative yoga, Vinyasa, postural corrections, Classic Pranayama.
Antonella Notari Vischer worked in the humanitarian and socio-economic development fields for almost 20 years, in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Balkans, implementing programs in favour of vulnerable and destitute populations. In 2017, she moved to Tuscany to restore and revive Podere Trafonti, an abandoned farm, set in the glorious Sienese hills. Her dream is to make Trafonti into a place for joyful and deeply enriching experiences for her guests.
