21 September- 13 October 2019 Sankalpasicily, Ragusa, Sicilia, ITALY
If you’re interested in teaching yoga or simply deepening your experience, don’t miss your chance to take part in this 200-hour intensive course.
An exhilarating and stimulating experience with friendly people to accompany you on your journey that will help you to discover and rediscover the essence, beauty, and simplicity of life.
If you decide to register for this programme, you’re giving yourself a gift that’s full of surprises, including the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills, guided by experienced teachers and well-developed methodologies. You’ll be sure to discover energy you never knew you had, renew your wellbeing, free yourself from stress, learn to enjoy the beauty and richness of every day, smile with your heart, and see life from a new point of view, your own!
This course is a chance to get to know yourself more deeply, align your heart with your mind, gain access to your most important inner resources and express them to the benefit of your physical, emotional, and mental wellness in everyday life.
The path proposed brings yoga to Italy with its traditional roots. The methods and teachings have been developed by the Yogapoint Institute, based in Nashik, India (near Mumbai). Yogapoint has been conducting courses for decades for students from around the world.

Yogajoya is the only organisation in Italy authorised by Yogapoint for training instructors in Hatha yoga.
The course lasts 23 days and consists of 200 hours of training, divided between practical lessons in Hatha yoga, lectures, and self-study.
The primary aim of the course is to teach yoga instructors to transmit and spread yoga, with its multiple benefits, to all categories of people interested in improving their way of life. The course is also valuable for those wishing to deepen their study of yoga, to find a healthy balance, and maximise success in their own relational, working, emotional, and intellectual lives.

It’s important to remember that a good yoga teacher is foremost a balanced and centred person. This journey is also for you, the future teacher. It is a journey that can help you to centre and balance yourself and prepare to share these concepts with anyone wishing to learn.
Teachings we transmit respect yogic traditions and derive directly from descriptions in the ancient texts, “Yoga Sutra” of Patanjali (Asthanga yoga), and “Hatha Yoga Pradipika”.
The objective is to give you the tools and techniques that make practice most effective, to take away the knowledge to maintain the discipline in its original and traditional meaning, so that you may transmit concepts in their purest form.
The course is aimed at anyone interested in the yoga discipline, in learning new working methods, those who already work in the wellness field, including holistic practitioners, physical education teachers, health and social workers, and anyone who simply desires to take time for themselves to improve their lifestyle.
We give you the tools necessary for use in everyday life, from physical practice to techniques for relaxation and meditation, to a healthy approach to food.

After the course, you’ll receive a diploma of instructor of Hatha yoga from the celebrated Yogapoint Institute and Yogajoya.
The Yogapoint Institute (Yoga Vidya Gurukul) is located in Nashik, Maharashtra, India (the Institute has numerous other satellite campuses in India dedicated to spreading its methodology throughout the country).
The school offers study programmes (including classic yoga instruction, yoga therapy, advanced yoga, pre- and postpartum yoga, yoga for children) that teach yoga in its most traditional form. Programmes are further enhanced by transmitting the elements of a lifestyle in line with the yoga philosophy.
With your certificate, you’ll be able to teach worldwide. New teachers are automatically inducted into the association of Yogapoint teachers, that today counts over 2150 yoga teachers from around the world and 16000 from India. Membership in this association is free.
Yoga Vidya Gurukul was founded in 1978 by Yogacharya Dr. Vishwas Mandlik as a non-profit organisation.
“Our organisation is inspired and guided by the vision of Swami Satyananda of the Yoga Bihar school. We count more than 18000 yoga teachers in India, 4500 in other countries and over 300,000 students worldwide.
The institute is recognised by the YCMOU (an Indian university authority) and by the University of Pune as a research institute in the field of yoga and its applications.
We also conduct courses in yoga therapy together with the University of Sciences and Wellbeing of Maharashtra.
Our college is affiliated with the University of Sanskrit Kavi Kulguru (State university of Maharashtra) and offers diplomas, university degrees and post-graduate education in yoga.”
The institute also has two treatment centres that use yoga and naturopathy as guiding disciplines for patient care.

Gandhar is the director of Ashram and its courses and will connect via Skype to deliver live lessons on the essence of the yoga discipline.
For years, Gandhar has been masterfully managing Ashram and has been involved in international collaboration.
Gandhar was raised in a yogic environment. His parents have taught yoga for 40 years.
He has an education in electrical engineering, but yoga has been at the centre of his life since 2000 when he was initiated by Swami Niranjanananda. In 2006 he was initiated in Rishi Sannyasa (the equivalent of the title of Swami).
Gandhar is also specialised in clinical psychology and is particularly interested in all scientific aspects of yogic sciences; yoga for psychological and mental health, mantra, and philosophy of yoga.
Lucia D’Angelo is a physical education instructor, massage therapist, and yoga and yoga therapy teacher with over 900 hours of training. She is founder and dedicated teacher at Yogajoya.
“I’ve worked in the wellness sector in its myriad forms and disciplines for years and have come to understand every individual as a mind-body unit. I strongly believe in teaching yoga in its deepest form and sense. My approach and that of my collaborators derives from teaching methods that have been passed down directly by Indian yoga masters.
My own spiritual trajectory was born out of my deep need to search for and find a stable mental and physical equilibrium following a particularly difficult period of my life. The path I took brought about a true rebirth in me. I now feel healthy and full of energy and can appreciate life at its fullest! The success I feel in my everyday life I owe to yoga, and this is my primary motivation to teach anyone who shares my objective: to live a life rich in satisfaction and realisation at a personal and social level.
In my teaching philosophy, I aim to relate with my students, create deep interpersonal connections, consider the needs of every individual, and strive to be supportive of their own pathways. I love watching the transformation and evolution that yoga brings to people, and I love to be part of the joys and satisfactions that inevitably come to everyone that takes this journey with Yogajoya. During lessons I try to transmit knowledge using a strong experiential base: my teaching draws from lessons learned and experiences which have been, and continue to be most beneficial to me.
My objective is to transmit wellness and consciousness for living well and to support expression of potentiality in each individual. The moment we are able express our potentiality, we see that success in life happens spontaneously and in surprising ways. Success is guaranteed when we try to be in line with our heart and with who we really are.
My life is divided between Italy and India. In Italy, I love sharing the strong energy and spirituality that is part of my way of life in India. I do this to the best of my abilities through the pathways proposed by Yogajoya. In India, I take each day as an opportunity to learn something new, and to savour the dense air, earth, food, people, and way of life, that make India so full of character and emotionally charged.”

“I took up yoga over 20 years ago in South Africa, my birthplace. I studied in Africa and London with a Sri Lankan master, with whom I practised intensively for many years. I went to India for the first time in 2009 and stayed at a yoga Ashram where I experienced a yoga lifestyle. I then moved to a town in southern Italy for work and love. I quickly discovered I was the only yoga-practicing Anglophone in the area.
Over time, people developed a fascination and asked me to begin teaching them yoga. This is how I began teaching – for love, passion, and to satisfy the curiosity of those who wished to learn.
On the recommendation of a friend, I returned to India, and landed at the Yogapoint Institute where I studied. This experience has further enriched my knowledge and my teaching has significantly progressed!
Since then, I’ve returned several times to the Institute and have become an official collaborator.
It is with great pleasure that I share my experience and knowledge of yoga in Italy. I’m looking forward to accompanying you on the journey that awaits you!
Over the duration of the course, we will regularly connect with Yogapoint and participate in lessons directed by Gandhar Mandlik, Kate Mandlik, Guruji, Mrs. Pournima. These classes cover a variety of themes, from philosophy to Swara, and other types of yoga.
These collaborative moments are important occasions that carry plenty of energy and precious teachings that stay close to your heart!
